This week there was a lot of confusion between Steam and Destiny, as the microtransaction currency of the game was available on Valve's platform. Now, Bungie has talked about the situation and mentioned that all affected will receive the corresponding reimbursement and that Destiny 2 will not arrive on Steam.

On Twitter, Bungie community manager David "Deej" Dague commented that the Silver that appeared on Steam was a mistake. He added that Valve is working on reimbursements and apologized for the confusion. In addition, he took the opportunity to mention that he has no plans to launch Destiny 2 on Steam.

"Destiny transactions on Steam were made available in error. All purchases will be refunded manually by Valve. Sorry for the confusion!" Dague said in his first tweet. "We're with Blizzard. No plans to release Destiny 2 on PC anywhere else. Pass it on."

However, something must be taken into account. Bungie's comments point out that Destiny 2 will not be available on Steam, but what about the first Destiny? The Silver that appeared on the platform of Valve looked like the currency of the original title, so the door seems to remain open.

So, the only way to play Destiny 2 will be through Blizzard Battle.net, an online platform that works for Blizzard Entertainment titles like Overwatch, World of Warcraft, among others.

Destiny 2 will debut on September 6 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. PC gamers will have to wait until October 24th to get their hands on the title, but they can at least try the game during the upcoming beta scheduled at the end of the month.
