Galaxy S9 fix fingerprint position

Running a Snapdragon 845 and Android Oreo 8.0 are going to be the first of several upgrades listed for the Galaxy S9. However, with the in-display fingerprint reader out of the question, it looks like Samsung will have to rely on the rear-mounted fingerprint reader, but at least the company has finally thought of a good position if a new rumor is to be believed.

From the details of the rumor, Galaxy S9 could just be another iterative update over the Galaxy S8, and there have not been any details provided if the lineup is going to feature a dual-camera like the Galaxy Note 8 or not. If by chance, the new flagship family does end up receiving such an upgrade, we believe that it will be the same setup present on the Note 8.

However, Samsung will do its loyal band of customers one huge favor; with the in-display fingerprint reader not expected to debut with the Galaxy S9, the company might just incorporate a centered sensor that is easy to feel out since it will take less time for users to unlock their devices.

As for the chipset, a previous rumor originating out of China claims that the Galaxy S9 might get the initial Snapdragon 845 shipments, which might force several of Samsung’s competitors to delay their own smartphone launch or unveil them early using previous-generation chipsets.

However, things do not have to look too bleak for consumers waiting for the Galaxy S9 family because another rumor claims that the flagship phone might get detachable accessories, which are similar to Moto Mods as well as a substrate-like PCB to increase overall battery capacity.

Still, it is far too early for us to believe these rumors immediately so we recommend that you guys take it with a pinch of salt.

On a serious note, we want a killer feature from the Galaxy S9, so let us know which one do you think will stand out? For us, it will be a Moto Mod-like accessory.
