One of the biggest announcements of Gamescom 2017 was the somewhat expected PC version of Final Fantasy XV, which promises to be the definitive way to enjoy the RPG developed by Square Enix. If you're planning to get the game on PC when it launches next year, you definitely want to check out a new gameplay video shared today by NVIDIA.

The new Final Fantasy XV PC gameplay video is a 4K, 60 FPS video featuring some early game areas and enemies. Needless to say, the game already looks much better than it does on consoles.

The critically acclaimed Final Fantasy XV is finally on its way to PC in ultimate quality. Take a look at the crisp 4K 60FPS gameplay from the new Windows Edition, featuring NVIDIA game tech.

The choice to showcase Final Fantasy XV at 4K, 60 FPS is definitely an interesting one, considering director Hajime Tabata recently talked about how a GTX 1080 Ti will apparently not be able to run the game at max resolution and 60 FPS.

Supporting 60fps will be possible, but considering the spec you’d need to get that level—with native 4K, HDR, and a good 60fps—the machine we’ve got here couldn’t do that at the moment. That’s a GTX 1080 Ti, and even with that 60 frames is not possible.

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition launches on PC sometime next year. The game is now out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
