Slashleaks has provided us with more info in the specifications realm for the forthcoming Mi MIX 2. Rumor has it that the smartphone will have a 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, with the screen size leaked to be 6.2 inches. The resolution according to the images is detailed as 2960 x 1440, which is the same for Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and the Galaxy Note 8. The Mi MIX 2 will most likely be taking advantage of AMOLED display technology, but a Snapdragon 836 will effortlessly be able to render those pixels.

There are going to be a fair share of drawbacks that Xiaomi will need to address when thinning the bezels. Companies like Samsung and LG did not attempt to thin these bezels too much otherwise the speaker grill would no longer be present. Xiaomi might not care about the speaker grill, but it has a better speaker idea in mind so the user will be able to engage in conversations more clearly and for longer sessions.
The battery capacity is listed as 4,400mAh, with internal storage being 256GB, but no mention of the amount of RAM it will tout. We figure the base model will feature 6GB of LPDDR4X coupled with internal memory lower than the 256GB count.
A 20MP rear shooter has also been listed in the hardware, with Android Oreo 8.0 being the operating system to run ‘out of the box’. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is going to be unveiled on September 11, so we’ll definitely have a better idea of the specifications and features it will come running during the official unveiling.
