A Shenmue bundle containing both Shenmue 1 and 2 have been listed for PS4 and Xbox One.
The bundle has been listed by the largest online retailer in the Czech Republic/Slovakia, Alza. In addition, the bundle has also been listed by Slovakian retailer Madgamer. A release date hasn’t been provided, but based on Madgamer’s listing, the bundle is supposed to sell for € 59,95.
Whether the listings are legit remains to be seen, but SEGA hasn’t made a secret of its intention to remaster both titles.
“SEGA was an innovator, the Dreamcast was offering online gaming as early as 1998”, SEGA’s European head of marketing, Jon Rooke, said back in 2015. “But perhaps back then we were pushing boundaries a little too soon. Nowadays we know what we’re good at and the strategy is to be more gradual. Over the next few years, we want to use engaging content and marketing to remind the public why they fell in love with SEGA in the first place.” He added that SEGA is “exploring ways” to re-release the first two Shenmue games.
