LG V30 will officially start to sell from this week and the Korean manufacturer will be keen on reducing the dominating run of Samsung and its bezel-less flagship family that comprises up of the Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Pricing details of the V30 have also been detailed and it will cost you a pretty penny.
Base Storage Model of LG V30 to Cost $841 but Biggest Development for the Flagship Has to Come From Its Camera Upgrade
According to LG, sales of the V30 will commence from this week, with the base storage version of the flagship featuring 64GB of onboard memory coming at $841. After suffering from nine straight financial quarters, the manufacturer expects the smartphone to improve the company’s mobile division. As for the specifications, the V30 sports a 6-inch P-OLED that will look extremely vibrant. The phone itself features a resolution of 2880 x 1440 in an 18:9 aspect ratio and protection of the display is delivered by Gorilla Glass 5.
The LG V30 also provides support for HDR10 and there is an ‘Always On’ display thanks to the manufacturer shifting to OLED display technology. There is also a spec bump in the hardware specifications; the V30 now sports a Snapdragon 835 coupled with 4GB of RAM. There is also microSD card slot that lets you upgrade your storage all the way up to 2TB.
The highlight of the phone will no doubt be its dual-camera setup. Featuring the widest aperture in a smartphone, with a value of F/1.6, more light will be able to enter the lens and low-light images will thoroughly improve. The dual-camera consists of a single 16MP shooter coupled with a 13MP sensor with an aperture of F/1.9. A front-facing camera is also present and it has a maximum image resolution of 5MP.
Just like the G6, the V30 features a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, plus support for Bluetooth 5.0. Aside from this, all models will provide support for wireless charging and Quick Charge 3.0. The battery capacity stands in at 3,300mAh which is quite decent for a 6-inch phone that has minimized bezels. Keep in mind that the Galaxy Note 8 is slightly larger than this phone and it too features the same cell capacity.
