A Dedicated Screenshot Editor.

Believe it or not, you can edit screenshots in iOS 11 right after taking them all through a dedicated editing page. As soon as you take a screenshot (Home + Power) you will see a little preview of the screenshot on the bottom left of the display. Tap on the preview and you'll dive straight into the editor. Go crazy with this feature.

Background App Refresh on WiFi Only.

I know, I know, you already know about this. But if you navigate to Settings > General > Background App Refresh > Background App Refresh, you'll see a couple of new options. This includes WiFi and WiFi & Cellular. You now have the complete option to enable Background App Refresh on a WiFi network only, or go ahead with cellular too if you so like.

Scan Documents Using Notes App.

So you bought that $1.99 app to scan and store your documents? iOS 11 does that natively right from the Notes app. Just create a new note, tap on the '+' sign at the bottom then select Scan Documents. The camera will launch, just aim it towards a document and snap a photo. It's as simple as that.

Customizable Control Center.

The Control Center is a big upgrade, but it gets better when you realize that you can add or remove toggle switches from it on the fly. Just head over to Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls.

Offload Unused Apps to Save Storage.

We all have apps which we don't use and yet we don't delete them just for the sake of it. In order to save storage space, iOS 11 comes with a new feature called Offload Unused Apps. Whenever iOS detects that you are not using a particular app at all, it'll delete it when you are running low on storage. But that's not all, iOS will save your documents and data in a safe and secure location too. You can access this feature by going to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Offload Unused Apps.

Dark Mode.

Apple didn't talk about this on stage but we have on several different occasions. Navigate to Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations > Invert Colors and enable the Smart Invert feature. Every element on the display will go dark except for the icons. How cool is that?

Type to Siri.

While Siri is great and all, but it's a little awkward to talk to the assistant in certain occasions. For that, Apple has baked in a new Type to Siri feature. Once enabled, you can just type whatever you want to Siri rather than using your voice. To enable this feature, just head over to Settings > General > Accessibility > Siri and enable the Type to Siri toggle switch.

Auto-Brightness.

A once prominent feature in all iOS devices is now hidden away from view. Mainly because Apple wants it enabled it at all times in order to ensure maximum battery life on your device. Navigate to Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations and you'll see the Auto-Brightness switch chilling here.

Share WiFi Password with Devices Nearby.

If you have a friend over, and they too happen to have iOS 11 installed and attempt to connect to your WiFi network, you don't have to tell them your password. If you and your iOS 11 device are nearby to them, you'll get a pop-up asking you whether or not you wish to share your WiFi password. Just tap Send Password and you're done. Just keep one thing in mind, make sure Bluetooth and WiFi radios are enabled on both devices, otherwise this feature just won't work.

One-Handed Keyboard.

Can't type on the iPhone Plus with one hand? Bring up the keyboard, tap and hold on the globe icon next to the spacebar, and you'll get three new keyboard options at the bottom. Select the one on the left or the right in order to jump into one-handed keyboard mode. This feature works on every iPhone model, in case you're wondering.
