As we prepare for macOS High Sierra to arrive, it's best to take the time out to see which of your Mac(s) is compatible to work with the new OS. The great news is that macOS High Sierra will work just fine as long as you can run macOS Sierra. But, if you have an older Mac then you won't be able to enjoy all the new features that the OS brings with it. For example, 4K HEVC playback is supported by Macs that feature Intel's sixth-generation CPUs. Furthermore, if your Mac does not feature a Thunderbolt 3 port, then you won't be able to take advantage of external GPU support either. But it's not something you'll miss out on completely if you are not planning to use your Mac beyond extremely basic tasks such as browsing the Web or creating a text document or two.
