macOS 10.13.1, tvOS 11.1 & watchOS 4.1 Have Arrived. For Developers Only, for Now.

Apple opened the floodgates for developers just a while back, releasing iOS 11.1 Beta 1 as well as first betas of macOS 10.13.1, tvOS 11.1 and watchOS 4.1. All of these releases are available to download through the registered developer channels therefore you must part ways with $99 on an annual basis in order to access them. But if time has taught us anything it's that you can download all these bits for free (except watchOS), since Apple will definitely make its software available for public beta testers at a later date. Or maybe tonight, if we are extremely lucky and Apple is feeling extremely generous.

At this point in time it's unknown what the new release brings with it. Given tvOS 11 was a small update compared to everything else, it's likely that tvOS 11.1 only brings with it further polished to an already stable system. Furthermore, watchOS 4.1 brings with it music streaming support for Apple Watch Series 3 with Cellular apart from some other fixes. That alone is a big enough reason for music lovers and Series 3 owners to upgrade. macOS 10.13.1, on the other hand, is likely to improve performance and bring more security fixes to the table.

If there's anything new and striking in these releases, we will definitely highlight them here. And if you happen to be a developer, then you can go ahead and download these updates straight onto your test devices.

Public testers should stay alert as it's likely that Apple would release its new software absolutely free for trying out. We will, as ever, let our users about it whenever the Beta Software Program is updated with fresh new bits.

watchOS developers should be vary of the fact that once you upgrade to watchOS 4.1, then there's no way you can downgrade back to the public release channel. You have to go through all the beta releases until you reach the full and final build.
