NVIDIA’s Latest GeForce 388.31 WHQL Drivers Deliver Stunning Gains in Destiny, Optimized For Star Wars: Battlefront II – Up To 53% Performance Boost

NVIDIA has just released their latest GeForce 388.31 WHQL Game Ready drivers which have been optimized for Destiny 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront II. The drivers are available over at the official GeForce website over here.

The latest GeForce 388.31 WHQL driver has three key things, it's optimized for Injustice 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront II while delivering stunning performance increases in Destiny 2. With just 2 days left in the launch of EA's Star Wars: Battlefront II, NVIDIA has allowed users to ready their rigs for the upcoming blockbuster title. NVIDIA has recommended a suitable range of graphics cards for the title at a particular resolution.

According to NVIDIA the GeForce GTX 1060 will be able to run the game on High settings at Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, exceeding 60 FPS. Similarly, the GeForce GTX 1070 is recommended for a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution screen while the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will have no problems running the game at UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution.

Running at an average of 72 FPS in Star Wars Battlefront II’s campaign, at a High level of detail, the GTX 1060 delivered an excellent, super smooth experience in the most visually-demanding moments of the game, and an equally-smooth experience in multiplayer.

At 2560x1440, meanwhile, the GeForce GTX 1070 is recommended, running at over 66 FPS on average. And at 3840x2160, you’ll want the world's fastest consumer graphics card, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, which runs at an average of 55 FPS at this demanding resolution, with a scrumptious level of detail, for an experience you can’t match on any other platform or PC config. via GeForce

NVIDIA GeForce 388.31 WHQL Delivers More Than 50% Boost To GeForce 10 Series in Destiny 2

Also today, NVIDIA is further extending their lead in performance for Destiny 2. The game already ran really well on GeForce 10 series cards but NVIDIA has managed to improve the performance numbers by adding double-digit gains through optimizations and improvements by working with the game developers directly. All GeForce cards, ranging from the GTX 1060, up to the GTX 1080 Ti and in SLI or Non-SLI mode has seen increases. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti sees the biggest gains of up to 53% at 4K and 45% at 2K resolution. The GTX 1080 receives a similarly great 40% boost at 2K and 47% boost in 4K while the newly released GTX 1070 Ti sees a 30% increase at 2K and 46% jump at 4K resolution.
