People have been using Apple-branded products since far too long and the number keeps on getting bigger. In its fiscal first quarter 2018 earnings call, Apple announced another milestone - reaching 1.3 billion active devices across the globe. So let's dive in to see some more details on the matter.

Apple Reached 1.3 Billion Active Installed Base Of Devices In January

The number is huge in its own right. While there may be a plethora of services that the company offers, it has certainly not lacked behind in offering a wide range of products. In an official press release sent out today, Apple's CEO, Tim Cook also announced another great milestone reached by the entire company and not just a specific division or product. Cook announced that Apple has reached a mark of 1.3 billion active devices running out in the wild.

In addition to this, Tim Cook also noted that the number has jumped up by 30 percent in the last two years. As per the Apple CEO, the number clearly indicates to the “popularity of our products and the loyalty and satisfaction of our customers”. The official statement from Tim Cook reads:

“We’ve also achieved a significant milestone with our active installed base of devices reaching 1.3 billion in January. That’s an increase of 30 percent in just two years, which is a testament to the popularity of our products and the loyalty and satisfaction of our customers.”

If you're someone who is keenly following Apple, you must know that the company reached the 1 billion active device mark back in January of 2016. Apart from this, Apple's iPhone X has been a subject of immense popularity given the fact that the handset featured gigantic leaps forward in terms of design and software variations. The handset challenged the conventional ways by removing the Home button and Touch ID.

“We’re thrilled to report the biggest quarter in Apple’s history, with broad-based growth that included the highest revenue ever from a new iPhone lineup. iPhone X surpassed our expectations and has been our top-selling iPhone every week since it shipped in November.”
