Apple in its earnings call for Q1 of 2018 depicted slower growth in iPhone sales compared to last year. Nonetheless, the company has seen best quarterly results in terms of revenue. In addition to this, Apple has also reached another milestone - reaching 1.3 billion active devices. The growth jumped up by 30 percent in the last three years which is quite a mark in its own right. However, one other thing that Tim Cook noted in the announcement is that the iPhone X was the 'top selling iPhone' since its launch in November of last year. So let's dive in to see some more details on the matter.

iPhone X Is The Top Selling iPhone Every Week Since Its Launch In November

Apple CEO, Tim Cook stated that the iPhone X has 'surpassed our expectations' and has been the 'top selling iPhone' every week since the device shipped in November of last year. As per the company stats, the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the mighty iPhone X brought in the highest revenue of any iPhone lineup in the company's long history.

Apple does not detail any solid numbers on the sale of iPhones by model. However, the company has sold 77.3 million iPhones at a total which was below what the analysts were hoping for. Last year, the average selling price of the iPhone was $695 and this year the number has jumped up to $796 all thanks to the iPhone X. While the increase in the price of the high-end iPhone is debatable, the product that we're getting in our hand is premium.
