The company announced its first center in China last summer, which was also the first China-based data center located in the region of the Southern province of Guizhou. It was also set up in partnership with the data management firm Guizhou-Cloud Big Data Industry. It was also part of the country's new and updated cybersecurity law. This was definitely a good move by Apple as it would mark the company in the country's good books.
Reuter reported that Apple was the first foreign tech company to announce changes made in the data storage arrangements in China to comply with the updated cybersecurity law implemented in June.
