The operation date is set to 2020 and the location is in Ulanqab City according to the report by Xinhua Net. So what will the second data center hold for the company? Apple Plans To Open Its Second Data Center In Xinhua, China

As we have mentioned earlier, Apple is planning to build another data center in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Religion and it will provide various iCloud related services for users in the Chinese mainland. Plans regarding the new data center state that will be completely dependent on renewable energy sources, similar to what Apple's other data centers are operating on.

Apple Inc., the United States tech giant, will build a data center in Ulanqab City in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, after its first data center in southwestern Guizhou Province, the local government has announced.

The company announced its first center in China last summer, which was also the first China-based data center located in the region of the Southern province of Guizhou. It was also set up in partnership with the data management firm Guizhou-Cloud Big Data Industry. It was also part of the country's new and updated cybersecurity law. This was definitely a good move by Apple as it would mark the company in the country's good books.

Reuter reported that Apple was the first foreign tech company to announce changes made in the data storage arrangements in China to comply with the updated cybersecurity law implemented in June. The law required foreign firms to store data within the country. Apple has assured reporters that it had set strong privacy and security protections and that "No backdoors will be created into any of our systems."
