MASSIVE UPDATE! New Windows 10 Preview Brings Improved Windows Defender, Game Bar Makeover & Several Other Changes

Microsoft has released a new Windows 10 Redstone 4 Insider Preview build (aka Windows 10 Spring Creators Update) and if any of us thought the development phase was almost finished, we were definitely wrong. Today's Preview build brings one of the longest changelogs, with a number of features receiving fixes and improvements. The update is now available to PC Insiders on Skip Ahead and the Fast ring.

What's new with Windows 10 Insider Preview build 17093

The update renames Windows Defender to Windows Security, brings several improvements to Game bar, enables Windows 10 S users to go password-less, and brings several other changes and updates to the upcoming Windows 10 version. Some of these changes and improvements that today's Windows 10 Redstone 4 Insider Preview build 17093 brings, include:

  • Game bar makeover with themes and more.
  • Diagnostic Data Improvements: users can now delete the recently introduced Windows Diagnostic Data from Settings > Privacy > Diagnostics & feedback. windows diagnostics

  • Windows Security Improvements: Windows Defender has been renamed to Windows Security and can be found in Settings > Update & Security. windows security
  • Microsoft Edge Improvements: evolved full screen mode (F11) and clutter-free printing
  • Bluetooth Improvements: Windows enables users to start pairing and connecting supported devices in a single click.
  • Input Improvements: multilingual text support in Windows and Text Prediction support for more languages.
  • Windows App Permissions bring updated "Privacy Settings" navigation pane
  • Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) updates
