Nokia 8 Pro with Snapdragon 845 Q3 2018

The Android-powered Nokia 8 was released last year bearing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835, but there is little information as to when the company is going to be unveiling its Snapdragon 845 champion. According to a fresh leak, the Nokia 8 Pro is what is going to be unveiled later in the year and feature Qualcomm’s most powerful SoC to date. Let us hope that this device is able to come up with improvements that critics later found in Nokia’s previously released crown jewel.

Bear in mind that we did hear about a Nokia 10 in the works, but it looks like the Nokia 8 Pro is what is going to be the official name, according to the information that Nokiapoweruser got a hold of. The device in the leaked image given below reveals that the upcoming smartphone will have an advanced camera module.

The camera in the Nokia 8 was criticized by reviewers because they had already tested such great smartphone cameras only to be struck in the head with a Snapdragon 835-powered phone that is not in the same league as its competitors.

You can also see that there is a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone, meaning that the Nokia 8 Pro will not be accompanied by an in-display fingerprint reader. Other specifications of the flagship are currently unknown, but it has been revealed that the phone will have an 18:9 aspect ratio.

It is 2018 after all and the only devices we expect to see with 16:9 aspect ratios are those that feature very affordable prices. The Nokia 8 Pro could still be a great buy if the company and HMD Global are able to keep a lid on the pricing.

What other features do you think the Snapdragon 845 powerhouse could come with underneath the hood? Tell us your thoughts down in the comments.
