After the iPhone X became the biggest iPhone released to date with a 5.8-inch display, Apple plans to go the extra mile with the imminent release of the iPhone X Plus. This device is expected to feature a 6.5-inch OLED display, with the tech giant planning two new models for a potential September announcement.

The iPhone X Plus has been reported to feature the same size as the iPhone 8 Plus but you’ll be able to experience more screen real estate thanks to the 6.5-inch display. According to Bloomberg, the resolution is also listed as 2,688 x 1,242, with the display tech being OLED just like the iPhone X. The larger model is also going to be sporting Face ID functionality, with a new gold version expected for the upcoming iPhone X Plus and iPhone X successor.
According to the source, Apple is also planning to introduce dual-SIM iPhone models in varied regions. The company will obviously be carrying out varied market research in order to see in which countries are users more inclined on using devices which can hold two SIM cards in unison.
An iPhone X successor and a cheaper LCD-touting iPhone with an edge-to-edge screen is going to be unveiled alongside the mega phablet flagship, offering the same A12 SoC, which is expected to be manufactured exclusively by TSMC.
All three devices will obviously have an updated operating system called iOS 12 codenamed Peace, and will offer more features ranging from upgraded AR capabilities, deeper integration of the Siri smart assistant, digital health monitoring and the option to use Animojis while using FaceTime.
Though the potential price of the iPhone X Plus has not been detailed by Bloomberg, there is a possibility that it might be costlier than the $999-priced iPhone X.
