OnePlus 6 to Get 8GB RAM and 256GB of Storage - OnePlus Has Not Confirmed if There Are Going to Be Other Models Shipped With This One

There was no doubt that the OnePlus 6 was going to feature a Snapdragon 845 since company pretty much has no choice but to pick up ‘off the shelf’ components from Qualcomm. However, if you head over to OnePlus forums right now, the following has been stated concerning the internal specs of the phone.

“To create this higher standard, we start with the best hardware: the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 845 paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Choosing the best hardware is the easy part, the real challenge is in making the best hardware perform in ways that adds value to the experience of the user.

Within the OnePlus R&D team, we have a specialized team called Team FSE (Fast, Stable, Efficient). Their focus is solely on maximizing the power of our flagship devices.”

OnePlus has yet to confirm if this is the only model that it is going to ship or if there are more that will follow with fewer amounts of RAM and internal storage. For now, we know that one model will get 256GB of UFS 2.0 storage and 8GB of LPDDR4X memory. The OnePlus 6 is not going to ship with expandable storage but for a high-end device like this that already has a massive amount of internal memory, you won’t need a microSD card slot.

Also, the OnePlus 6 could come with a brand new design to appease customers that were tired of getting the same generic metallic unibody construction. However, it will come with a premium price, but that was expected as the smartphone market becomes more and more competitive.
