Blizzard has also announced that the esport-focused BlizzCon Opening Week, which runs from October 25 to 29 at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles, will be open to fans for the first time. No word on when the Opening Week tickets will go on sale, but Blizzard promises more information in the “months ahead.” Here are the tournaments that will be taking place during BlizzCon Opening Week and the main show:

Heroes of the Storm Global Championship: October 25 - 28, November 2 - 3

StarCraft II World Championship Series: October 26 - 28, November 2 - 3

World of Warcraft Arena Global Championship: October 29, November 2 - 3

Overwatch World Cup: November 2 - 3

Hearthstone Global Games: November 2 - 3

So, aside from the esports stuff, what will be going down at BlizzCon 2018? Well, you can expect the usual array of news and updates about Blizzard staples like World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, Starcraft, Diablo, and Hearthstone. Could we also get some bigger announcements? Rumors of a Warcraft III remaster have been floating around for a while, and the company says they have multiple new IPs “incubating,” so who knows what might happen? Personally, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a new Lost Vikings game.

If you're interested in BlizzCon 2018, you can get more information about buying tickets and other crucial information at the BlizzCon info site. Tickets will go on sale through the Universe ticketing service, so you may want to sign up for an account ahead of time. Anybody out there planning on attending this year?
