Today, some images of the prototype of the Xiaomi Mi 7 have been leaked. As can be seen in the pictures below, the phone’s design will be similar to that of other flagships. The front camera, earpieces, and sensors have been integrated at the top, with the handset rocking that iPhone X style notch.

From the pictures, it can also be seen the phone is almost bezel-less and the screen-to-body ratio is very high. According to previous leaks, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC and paired with the Adreno 540 GPU. Two storage and RAM variations will be available; 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and 8GB of RAM and possibly 128GB of onboard storage.

The phone is also expected to have the 3D face recognition technology. As per earlier reports, it will be Qualcomm’s 3D facial scanning technology that we will see on Xiaomi Mi 7. The rising Chinese tech star is said to be the first company to integrate Qualcomm’s 3D facial scanning tech in its phone.

In fact, the Mi 7 could be the only Android smartphone to include this technology this year although conflicting reports indicate that the first Android handset to feature such a solution will be getting released next year, so let us treat this rumor with a pinch of salt for now.

Apart from that, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will have a 6.01-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It could have a 3,500mAh cell, along with a dual-camera setup (16MP + 16MP) on the back with a F/1.7 aperture. The phone is also expected to support Qi standard wireless charging like the Mi MIX 2S, making them the first devices from the manufacturer to get this convenient feature.

Pricing is something that currently remains in the dark for now, but we’ll update you on the crucial details in the coming days.
