Valve has been generous enough to be the only other company to give the games OST to the entire community for free! It doesn't matter whether you own any steam game or not you can download the OST with the simple click of a button. The OST is wonderful and perhaps one of the best OST I have heard in this generation of games, According to the site Valve is even planning a release for Volume 3 of the OST each Volume comes in a hefty sized RAR File and the audio quality of each track is amazing. This is an amazing gesture on valves end.
Valve has been showing a lot of generosity to the public, after making Team Fortress 2 a free to play game permanently they have released the 2nd volume to their amazing game "Portal 2" normally the OST comes separately or as a added bonus for pre-ordering the game. But Valve has exceeded past this level and decided that since the OST for Portal 2 is so sensational it deserves to be heard by everyone.
Game Developers can really learn from Valve, I mean they always give a free DLC to their games, they don't have unfair pre-order bonuses. Valve is a great company and one of the few left who are still loyal to the PC Gaming community and these days that sort of generosity is rare.
