It seems that some manufacturers have found a replacement of the notch. First Vivo and now OPPO have introduced a phone with the pop-up future. Vivo NEX was the first phone to come with a pop-up selfie camera and in comes the OPPO Find X, which is tremendously stepped up its game when it concerns itself in the realm of bezel-less flagships.
OPPO Find X Features a Sliding Mechanism for Both the Front and Rear Camera Units
The OPPO Find X is a device that sports a sliding mechanism which pops the entire top of the smartphone, uncovering the dual-rear-camera system and the selfie camera. The rear cameras are 16MP and 20MP units while the front camera is a 25MP shooter.
OPPO already has experience in the field of rotating cameras so there should be no issues with the durability of the sliding system though it should be noted that since this is a moving part, it will wear down eventually. Design-wise, The Verge managed to snap some images of the smartphone and it looks very impressive. The flagship possesses a perfectly symmetrical curved glass body at the back and the front. The 6.4-inch OLED display is curved just like Samsung’s smartphones and the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.
Supplementing the performance of the SoC is 8GB of RAM and you have ample 256GB of internal memory incorporated. The phone packs a 3,730mAh battery and supports quick charging as well. Additionally, the OPPO Find X also features 3D facial scanning and is only the second smartphone in the entire world after the Xiaomi Mi 8 to come with support for this security feature.
Want to hear even better news? The OPPO Find X is the first OPPO smartphone that will officially be available with carriers in Europe and North America. All the required LTE bands of the Snapdragon SoC have also been unlocked. Given the trade relations between the United States and China right now, it is highly unlikely that the phone will be officially launched in the United States, though it might be available unofficially.
