Anthem’s Javelin Suits Get Additional Details; No Gender Variation, Unlocked One By One

Following last year's initial reveal, we have finally learned more about Anthem earlier this month during the E3. Now that the game is getting closer to release, members of the development team have been talking more about it and its many features.

On his Official Twitter profile, Executive producer Mark Darrah revealed some additional details on the Javelin suits. According to Darrah, players will be able to fly any of the 4 Javelins, and the pilot will be the Freelancer they create.

Unlike what it seemed like in trailers, Javelin suits won't have any gender variation.

Javelin suits will also be unlocked one by one by completing specific missions.

Players will also be able to have multiple Freelancers, but there will also be a limit on how many they can can have.

Additional Anthem story details have been revealed earlier this month, during EA Play.

The premise of Anthem, is a world left unfinished by the gods. But the gods left behind their massive tools, and those tools are in constant conflict with this unknowable force called the Anthem of Creation. And the chaos of those things pushing against other means the world is constantly being reshaped in new and unpredictable ways.

You are a Freelancer, uniquely equipped to pilot the Javelin exosuits. You need those suits to survive and fight in this world. On top of that, our ancient rivals the Dominion have discovered a way to weaponize the Anthem of Creation, so we need to stop them and protect the free people of Tarsis.

Anthem launches On February 22nd on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Origin Access Premier members will be able to play the game a week early, from February 15th.
