EA's new online retail service going by the name of Origin has an ace up their sleeve to help them get the upper hand over steam in the PC Gaming market, With Mass Effect 3 as one of the premiere games coming to the PC EA has decided to make the digital deluxe edition (It has also been said that Mass Effect 3 may not come to steam at all) will be an Origin Exclusive deal. So those of you who love steam but also love the Mass Effect series must now surrender to the will of EA Origin!
Mass Effect 3 is one of the hottest games of 2012 along with many other multiplatform games such as Bioshock Infinite. Mass Effect 1 has been on steam and so was Mass Effect 2 and it's digital deluxe edition but now EA has done a bit of clever marketing and made the Mass Effect 3 digital deluxe edition an Origin exclusive order!
A little while ago Crysis 2 was removed from steam store but Alice: Madness Returns managed to find it's way on to the steam store, I am still confused on whether Steam will bring Mass Effect 3 or even Battlefield 3 for that matter to steam. Could EA be planning on keeping the big hit titles to themselves? If they follow this strategy they can definitely have an upper hand over steam considering how the demand for Battlefield and Mass Effect games are!
