Biohazard: Revival Selection to bring great Resident Evil games in HD

HD remakes of great games is becoming a trend now a days, who needs backwards compatibility on the PS3 when great games like God of War 1 & 2 and the Sly Trilogy are being remade in HD with trophy support? Now Capcom is taking a shot at delivering HD remakes by remaking Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X to the PS3 and the 360. Gamers who may have missed out on both / either of the games can now take advantage of the HD graphics and trophy / achievement support as added incentive to play these great games.

Resident Evil: Code Veronica X and Resident Evil 4 were some of the greatest games the PS2 had to offer, while PC gamers got a shoddy PS2 port of Biohazard 4 the community managed to spruce it up with their own mods which added improved textures, lighting etc but sadly since Resident Evil: Code Veronica never came on to the PC this was another gem fans may have missed.

Capcom has released a nice comparison video between the SD and HD versions of the games. What I am really hoping for is Support for Move / Kinect and maybe even 3D to sweeten the deal for the gamers. But even without 3D or any accessory support you can definitely count on playing some of the best Resident Evil games without having to drop back to a PS2 with SD graphics.

I for one am LOVING these HD remakes and am hoping that other gems of their time like GTA Vice City and San Andreas get an HD Remake too. It is probable that the HD collection will definitely be heading for a PS3 / 360 release but it will definitely release in Japan first followed by the rest of the world within a couple of the months, but you can always bet on these 2 Resident Evil games and being patient for them will definitely pay off.
