There were rumours painting the Galaxy S10 as the flagship that is not going to ship with a 5G modem, be it from Qualcomm’s X50 5G chip, or Samsung’s Exynos 5100 Modem and that is true, to an extent. According to new information, one variant of the Galaxy S10 might feature a 5G modem and thanks to all the rumours we have reported about so far, it appears that the Galaxy S10 Plus might be getting the special treatment in this department.
Samsung Had Taken This Approach With the Galaxy S4 LTE-A - Limited Quantities of the Galaxy S10 Plus Might Be Produced
According to The Bell, 5G connectivity is still in its infancy right now, which only means that limited quantities of the Galaxy S10 Plus are going to be produced that will be touting a 5G modem. As per the info from the report, Samsung is expected to produce as low as two million units per year, until 5G connectivity gets widely adopted in the future.
To be fair, it was obvious that the Galaxy S10 Plus would be featured with this chip since evidence of it being the favourite device is present in droves. The flagship apparently features the biggest screen out of all three variants, with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED panel. It is also expected that the flagship will be sporting a triple-camera sensor at the back and a dual-camera at the front for improved selfies.
The bigger screen will grant the user an extended screen real estate, not to mention that it will give Samsung additional room to incorporate a bigger battery. The variable aperture technology is expected to retain on all three Galaxy S10 variants, and thanks to Samsung’s ISOCELL Plus technology, we should expect better low-light photography from all three upcoming models.
