The OnePlus 6T Will Once Again Be An Amazon Exclusive As Company Releases A Teaser For The Smartphone

With the OnePlus 6T, the company's playing by its own rulebook. Chinese brands often use social media as a marketing tool and periodically share information with customers. OnePlus chose this method a lot with the OnePlus 6. The smartphone's notch was confirmed beforehand by none other than OnePlus' CEO Pete Lau.

OnePlus will now make some changes on the OnePlus 6T that will enable the smartphone to compete with its Chinese counterparts. The smartphone will feature an under-the-display fingerprint sensor. OnePlus' latest teaser for the OnePlus 6T now confirms this feature. The short video clip is for the company's Indian users and features a famous actor.

OnePlus' choice of brand ambassador is really interesting. The actor represents Baby Boomers which is a market segment that does not know much about gadgets - especially in that part of the world. OnePlus' target market, on the other hand, is Millenials and Generation Z. The actor hints strongly at virtual fingerprint sensing on the OnePlus 6T.

This video follows an earlier leak which confirms that wild rumors which claimed a triple-camera setup for the OnePlus 6T are fake. Additionally, we can also confirm that the smartphone will indeed be called the OnePlus 6T. The smartphone is up for its 'notify-me' pre-order stage on Amazon India and is dubbed as the OnePlus 6T.
