As the official iOS 5 launch period comes closer Apple continues to strengthen its upcoming iOS by releasing beta updates, fixing bugs and revealing astounding features. The upcoming iOS 5 is highly anticipated as it features 200+ new features according to Apple. Rumored to be officially announced in September with a next generation iPhone, iOS 5 is said to  be the most advanced smartphone OS. Two weeks back Apple released iOS 5 Beta 4 for developers and today iOS 5 Beta 5 came out, revealing a whole lot of new features.

The new iOS 5 supports:
  • iPhone 4
  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPad 2
  • iPad 1
  • iPod Touch 3G
  • iPod Touch 4G
Apple might have found a solution for users using beta versions of iOS 5 without a developer account so it is not recommended to update if you don't have a developer account.  The update also requires iTunes 10.5 Beta 5.
Some of the new features of this beta version are listed below:
  • The iTunes Wi-Fi Sync feature has now been moved under the heading Network and Bluetooth.

  • The Provisioning Profiles no longer require to be activated by iOS 5 Provisioning Portal for iCloud. All new profiles will now be generated automatically for working with iCloud.
  • Fixed a problem with the function on the iPhone 4 Personal Hotspot, now fully functional.
  • Fixed a bug with the forwarding of mail that will now be sent without problems.
  • Fixed a problem that caused the closure of applications dedicated to VoIP when they consumed a large amount of data traffic.
  • Fixed many minor bugs.
Is this the last one? Well it is hard to say whether after this we will see the final version of iOS 5 released officially or Beta 6 but one thing is for sure that iOS 5 is going to rattle your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.
