Apple Increases iPhone Trade-in by up to $100 for Customers Upgrading to iPhone XS or iPhone XR

During its four-day Black Friday sale, Apple gave away gift cards with the purchases of eligible devices. Black Friday and Cyber Monday might be over, but Apple still has something for those who missed the previous deal. This comes in the form of its upgraded trade-in program, which was rebranded as GiveBack in April. Apple will now allow you to earn extra credit on top of the normal trade-in values when buying the newly launched iPhone XS or iPhone XR.

Strangely, the Older Phones Will Give You the Opportunity to Get More Credit When You Upgrade to iPhone XS or iPhone XR

The offer applies to all phones from iPhone 6 to iPhone 8, but the owners of the iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, and iPhone SE cannot avail the offer. The extra credit worth up to $100 can be received either as an Apple Store gift card or a refund on purchases and you can exchange your old handsets via mail or at an Apple Store.

Apparently, the older the model, the greater the increase in the credit. For instance, hand in the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, or the iPhone 6s Plus, and get an additional $100. Comparatively, for the iPhone 8, you will get only $25 more. However, the total value will come in at $300, as the phone is newer, while the total trade-in discount for the iPhone 6 will be $150, despite an additional bonus of $75.

Needless to say, the condition of the device you wish to exchange will also affect the trade-in value and if it’s scruffy, the value will probably decrease. This is a limited time offer and Apple hasn’t specified when it will end, so you might want to act fast if you want to avail it. The new offers come in the wake of a report that claims that owing to weakening demand, Apple has cut orders for its latest and greatest iPhone series again.
