The Windows world got a little exciting when Microsoft announced the new Windows as a Service (WaaS) model and released Windows 10 back in 2015. Since then the desktop operating system has received two feature updates every year, along with routine cumulative updates. While we have seen a number of reports around update stability and other associated issues, the latest Windows 10 1809 (the October 2018 Update) was the first update that Microsoft had to pull back due to data loss problems.
After pausing the update in October, the company did begin to re-release it in November, but the October 2018 Update is turning into a headache for the company as the adoption numbers are barely moving. Eager to offer its users something better, Microsoft is working on the upcoming version of Windows 10 - the April 2019 Update aka 19H1 aka version 1903. But it now appears the company is considering to simultaneously begin testing the version that would be released at the end of this year.
The development of version 1903 is expected to be completed in March before it's released to the public. Weeks before this, Microsoft stops sending major features and focuses on improvements and fixes. When that happens, Insiders who like playing with new features at the risk of breaking bugs start looking forward to even newer versions.
Microsoft has now hinted that "Skip Ahead" should expect to see builds from version 1909 (19H2) in a few weeks. In a response to an eager Windows 10 tester, Brandon LeBlanc tweeted that it would take just a few more weeks before Skip Ahead begins receiving 19H2 builds.

By the end of February, we will likely know the complete list of new features coming with the upcoming Windows 10 April 2019 Update. After that, Microsoft will start rolling out some new features to Insiders from the 19H2 branch. But the development process of version 1903 isn't completed yet and we are hoping to see something exciting coming in the next couple of builds before Microsoft starts focusing on 19H2 builds.
