Samsung has finally unveiled the Galaxy S10 series and the trio sure looks impressive. Unlike the Galaxy S9, which critics stated was a polished version of the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy S10 is a huge improvement over it’s the Galaxy S9. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus sports a 6.4-inch dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display, which means it comes with a display hole, something that the Galaxy S9 Plus’ 6.2-inches Infinity Display doesn’t have. The Galaxy S10 Plus has an aspect ratio of 19:9, while its predecessor has an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. At 175 grams, the Galaxy S10 Plus is a little lighter than its 189-gram progenitor, although the ceramic version is a tad bit heavier as it weighs 198 grams.
The Galaxy S10 Plus is fueled by a 7nm 64-bit Octa-core processor, which will make it much snappier than the Galaxy S9 Plus which is underpinned by a 10nm 64-bit Octa-core SoC. Samsung has also bumped the storage and memory levels significantly with the new phone, as the Galaxy S10 Plus has up to 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal memory which is expandable with a 512GB microSD card. On the other hand, the Galaxy S9 Plus has 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 400GB with a microSD card.
The Galaxy S10 Plus also comes with a bigger 4100mAh battery than the 3500mAh cell running in the Galaxy S9 Plus. For user authentication, the Galaxy S10 Plus has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock, while the Galaxy S9 Plus features a traditional fingerprint reader and iris and face scanner.
Unlike the Galaxy S9 Plus which comes with a dual rear camera system consisting of a 12MP wide angle sensor and a 12MP telephoto lens, its successor has a triple camera system comprising of a 16MP ultra wide lens, a 12MP wide-angle sensor, and a 12MP telephoto camera. Moreover, the Galaxy S10 Plus also features a dual front camera system with a 10MP selfie camera and an 8MP RGB depth sensor, whereas the Galaxy S9 Plus just possesses a single 8MP front shooter.
The Galaxy S10 Plus certainly looks promising and could end up becoming one of the most popular Android phones of the year, at least for customers who are willing to fork over that much.
