Intel’s Core i7 3960X Extreme Edition (Sandy Bridge-E) Processors Now Available for 2000$

An online Chinese store has put up Intel's Upcoming Sandy Bridge-E on sale for 2000$. The Processor "Core i7 3960X" would be Intel's flagship Extreme Edition Processor of its LGA 2011 lineup, The one being sold is still an engineering Sample and costs 2001.72$.

Although the final retail price of the chip is confirmed as 999$ (Reported here) but the processor is still months away from release and does who want to check/report early performance of the CPU can buy it.

The Core i7 3960X would be the fastest clocked and flagship CPU within the Sandy Bridge-E Family running at a stock speed of 3.3GHz with 3.9GHz Turbo Frequency (The ES has Turbo Enabled and is an Unlocked Chip), 15MB L3 Cache and Six Cores/12 Threads.

Intel's Second Fastest "Core i7 3930K" ES has also been benchmarked at Coolaler Forums, Results of that against the i7 980X over here. Also, Intel is planning to launch a new Core i7 2700K CPU for its current LGA1155 lineup which would be stock clocked at 3.5Ghz (95W TDP) and would feature  dual-channel integrated memory controller, Hyper-Threading and Turbo Boost 2.0. The processor would be made available at 317$.
